One of the best ways to make money online is by doing it through blogging.

Many of the top bloggers make a living from their blog. They stay at home, write great articles, market and in the end they make money.

This may sound easy, to write and make money from your blog.

In truth this is hard work.

There are millions of blogs online and only a small percentage makes money.

If you are in the percentage that doesn’t make any money from your blog then I am going to point out a few reasons why you don’t and will be giving some tips on how to start earning some money from your blog.

Most of the times you can know that a blog isn’t making any money at all.

They plaster their blogs with ads hoping that their blog visitors will come to their blog just to click on their ads.

I will say this again: Your blog readers doesn’t come to your blog to click on your ads.

Putting up a lot of ads on your blog will only make your blog visitors go away and it will scare away your first time blog visitors as well.

Imagine that you went to a blog to get some information about how to double your blog traffic and when you get to the page all that you see are affiliate banners.

What would you do?

I don’t know about you but I would hit the back button on my browser.

How To Fix This Problem?

We have to remember as bloggers that our blog readers are looking for information to suite their needs. If we place too much ads on our blog that content then that will kill the nature of our blog.

We have to be consistent in posting quality articles on our blog. This will make our blog visitors stay on our blog some more and this will make marketing to them really easy.

Place only the niche related ads on your blog and make sure that they don’t get in the way of your content.

Do you realize that there are many ways that you can make money from your blog?

Yes there is!

You can choose the easy way or you can choose the hard way.

Many bloggers who want to make money from their blog choose the hard way without even knowing it.

What I am talking about is that they try to put their all into this make money blogging and in the end they still fail to make money from their blog.

Don’t get me wrong, because if money making was easy then lots of people would be doing it.

Hard work of course is needed as well to make money from a blog, especially if you want to make a living through blogging.

When I say that you can make money from your blog the easy way is by using a strategy which works for your blog.

How To Fix This Problem?

Try out every possible way there is to make money from your blog. Use the methods that works well that doesn’t require much of your time and energy.

Don’t try to follow the pro bloggers way of making money. Try to develop your own strategy of making money from your blog and then capitalize on it. That way you can make tons of money from your blog.

Affiliate marketing may work for others while they don’t work for you in making money. Performing services may work for you and for others it don’t.

So you just have to find a strategy that works for your blog and stick with it.

What I mean by you are way off target is that you are marketing to the wrong set of people.

You may have a product that will help to make link building much easier.

The product that you are marketing is set at a reasonable price.

Do you think that you would be able to make money from this product if you were to market it in a parenting forum?

No you would not. You would never make a single dime.

This is because this parenting forum wouldn’t be interested in your product. How would link building help them to be better parents?

Aha! Now you see why it wouldn’t work!

How To Fix This Problem?

This is really easy to fix.

What you need to do is find people who are interested in your niche. People that share the same interest as you.

Doing this will help to make marketing much easier. They will want to find out more about the product that you are marketing. What it will do for them and sometimes the price doesn’t matter to them.

So try your best to target an audience that have the same interest as you. This will help you to make money easily.

Each blog makes money in a different way.

The ways that I use to make money from my blog may be different than yours. You just have to test the most effective ways of making money from a blog and then stick with the ones that works for your blog.

    If we talk in a very simple manner, then we can say, people does not care about their readers and that’s what is the main reason behind, them not making nay money from their blogs. If they start caring about readers and proving quality stuff, then they will automatically start making money.

    Your so right! having too many ads in a blog is really quite annoying. It just make the visitors lose interest to read or stay more on a blog

      Yep that is true. Most new bloggers tend to make this mistake. They think that putting ads on a blog will help to make them money. First one needs to build up their blog and then market it, that’s what makes the money.

    You’ve got it 100% right, Kharim when you say that visitors don’t come to a blog expecting to be bombarded with links to click on. The world of blogging was originally about – and should still be about – the sharing of ideas, opinions and information. Products and reference links have their place – their certainly not the devil – but if a blogger doesn’t offer value for free first, then no one is ever going to want to click anything on their site other than the ‘close window’ tab.

    Am I right? 🙂

      All you have to do is promote niche related products on your blog. But take to mind that you can’t make money if you have no traffic, so work on your traffic first and then the money will come.

    I have been facing the same problem lately and i am so worried of not getting the outcome i want to get from the effort i am putting up. I was just about to give up when i got this blog surfing on the internet for solutions and Helps and now i think i should give it another start. I think i had been just targeting the blog to earn money than getting traffic on it. And this is somewhat my problem..

    This is truly bitter but still close to truth. Everyday a huge heard is diving in into blogging. All of them trying to make money out of blogging. You post is really successful in guiding them proper path from very beginning. Yes, blogging is not to make money and on the other extreme, yes, there are bloggers who are making their living through blogging.

    Consistence, diligence and some intelligence will help one to learn the way blogging works and I’m sure, one day they’ll learn to make money from their blogs. I do agree with you that you must find your own way to make money. It may not be same for everyone.

    Crisp advice, Kharim. I’ve never been successful at making money via any blogs that I’ve been involved in. I suppose that is partly because I did it for fun more than anything. I can’t imagine how stressful it must be for some people though, trying so hard and struggling to making the online living they’re dreaming of.     Yeah it is almost correct some of my blogs are not earning a single penny and some are generating awesome income the reason i observed is quality of content and optimization. However the most important thing is design of the blog and majorly traffic which easily makes money from our blog.

    Blogs cannot make money for many reasons. One reason could be that the posts do not strike a chord with the readers. Also, if commitment and dedication lack, the end result will be paltry. Blogs have to meet the expectations of the readers.

    Kharim i am pretty much agreed with you first point itself.One needs to look upon the blog and re-think that the adds are not what the readers are looking for its the content they are visiting.To have a clear cut view of everything they have to be sure what works for readers not themselves. At last only visitors are going to make profit not the adds.

    I just read another post about this very subject, only it was talking about ways to monetize your blog.

    I believe that it’s very important that you have an idea about how you want to monetize your blog early on. That’s where having a solid business plan comes in handy. Just like any other traditional business, online businesses, like blogging, deserve just as much respect. The earning potential is great, in some cases greater than conventional businesses.

    I have several purposes for my blog including branding, building my community, driving traffic, and growing my subscriber list. My main focus is to grow my subscriber list and monetize through affiliate programs/products and eventually my own products. My blog is formatted accordingly and does a great job at serving its purpose.

    If I were to have ads all over my blog in an attempt add additional monetization, I believe it would dramatically devalue my blog and distract from its purpose.

      If ads are to be placed on a blog then it must be worthy of being placed there and also something that our visitors will have some sort of interest in.

    I think it is because of lack of strategy to implement to get good backlinks.
    Like using Social Media is a great way to drive traffic to your blog. It not only helps you get traffic from search engines but also generate good backlinks regularly.

    The main reason for that there is very hard to get traffic for new blogs. :-(. Actually it is not a easy task. And also get decent money from blog I think blog should have at least 300-500 visitors per day.

      A new blogger has to work really hard if he wants to get traffic and money. Having 500 visitors a day should be a goal and after that they can start to monetize that blog.

    The reason why your blog doesn’t make money even if you do have a unique and fresh content is that is lacks popularity. You need to bear in mind that you must optimize it so that it will establish web presence and credibility.
