A good salesman never sleeps. Well, obviously salespeople have to sleep, but when they do, they probably dream of leads.

That next big sale may just be an elevator encounter away. A sweet payday for you and your company may be a chance encounter with a nearby airplane passenger.

Or maybe it isn’t.

That’s the beauty and curse of the world of sales. If it was an exact science, then there would be more millionaires and more Fortune 50 companies.

There isn’t one way to generate sales leads, but more companies are turning to a lead generation service for hot targets. A lead generation service can give you targeted sales leads so you can spend more time closing the deal.

What exactly do you get when you enlist a lead generation service to help you find new customers?

Online search tools

If you fish with one fishing line, how many fish are you likely to catch on each cast? (That’s a rhetorical question, by the way!). However, when you cast a wide fishing net, your chances of landing more than one fish are greater.

A lead generation service can offer you an online database for sales contacts. Many of these companies vary the scope of a particular database depending on the amount of money you spend.

A larger investment means a more comprehensive contact list. A lead generation service company can also offer more involved interaction with the contact data. Packages are available where you are on your own to analyze and utilize sales lead data. You can also find a lead generation service that will dedicate sales professionals to help you use lead data to fit your company’s needs.

Reach out and touch…a bunch of people

Phone companies had advertising slogans 30 years ago that touted “reach out and touch someone.” With a lead generation service company, that slogan needs to be changed to “reach out and touch everyone!”

Another tool offered by a lead generation service is auto or predictive dialing. This tool basically helps you dial more phone numbers in shorter time to increase sales productivity.

Auto dialing programs can be hosted by an outside company or they can be standalone. Some auto dialing systems are integrated into a company’s CRM system and they offer a wide variety of features like call recorders, calendar reminders and targeted pop-up windows on prospective customers.

Campaigns aren’t just for politics

A lead generation service can help you with running targeted advertising campaigns to help grow your business. There are obviously varying levels of campaign involvement depending on the lead generation service you choose.

Campaigns can be created and managed by a lead generation service. They can also be run by you, with campaign links being sent for targeted campaign promotion. A lead generation service can help you create banner and campaign ads that are targeted to your ideal customers.

An added benefit of the campaign aspect of a lead generation service is that these campaigns can be used on an annual basis to generate new revenues and build your customer base. There is no need to reinvent the wheel when a campaign has previously been effective.

Visit Teleark find more exciting ways that a lead generation service can help you find and acquire new customers.

A blog that has high quality contents can attract lots of readers to it and in turn this will help to make the blog successful.

We all know the term “content is king” when it comes to blogging is a must for blogging success. Whenever a person comes on the internet to read or to do research on a particular topic, then this person wants to gain knowledge to it’s highest degree.

In today’s world people want to be successful in whatever career they decide to choose. Similarly in the blogosphere lots of bloggers want to be successful with blogging, but only a few are able to become successful bloggers making money from their blog.

For one to become a successful blogger today then they have to be able to come up with new contents on a regular so that they can supply for their blog readers and contents which also satisfy their needs.

Here are some tips on how you can come up with new contents for your blog when you are out of ideas.

www

Do Follow Up Posts

A great way to find new contents for your blog is by writing a follow up post to the previous one that you did.

I remember a few weeks back I did an article on how to get targeted traffic to your blog.

After that I wrote a follow up article on how to prepare your blog for targeted traffic.

Followed by those two articles I next wrote how to successfully make money from your blog with the targeted traffic that I mentioned in the previous posts.

With the first article that I had written I got to write on two more articles because I did follow up posts. I did not just write one article and leave it there, I made sure that I utilized my writing knowledge so that I could come up with new blog posts for my blog.

So doing follow up posts can help you to come up with new contents. This can also help to bring back previous readers to your blog as well and in turn increasing your blog traffic.

Write On Trending Topics

Another way to come up with new contents for your blog is to write on topics that have been generating a buzz on the internet. This is a great way to voice your own opinion on the topic that is trending.

Would your blog readers be interested though in this type of post?

Yes they can. But of course this highly depends on you the writer. You have to in a way which entertains your blog readers, educates them and also write in a so that they understand.

When Matt Cutts wrote on his blog that guest blogging is dead, this topic generated lots of buzz among bloggers.

It became a trending topic and this gave many bloggers to voice their own opinion.

So look for trending topics that you can also create contents for your blog. It’s a great way to voice your own opinion and also build traffic for your blog.

Do Interview Posts

Doing interviews for your blog can help to boost the traffic of your blog, plus this is a great way of coming up with new contents for your blog by interviewing other bloggers.

Why do this help to increase blog traffic?

This is because people want to know what bloggers are doing on their blog to make it successful.

Not only that, but it will help to gain added knowledge about the blogger and how he/she became a blogger. Readers love interview and I have seen lots of interviews getting tons of exposures for the blogs that do it.

Try it out and see how well it works for you.

Brainstorm For New Ideas

A popular way in which bloggers come up with new articles for their blog is by brainstorming. Everybody knows that doing this will help to come up with tons of new contents for your blog.

Brainstorming is done by thinking of new stuff to write for your blog.

A great way to do this is by getting a pen and a note pad. Write down every single topic that comes to your head. Use the internet to help you while brainstorming. Use social media sites, blogs and forums in your niche and also social networking sites.

When you do that then you can come up with tons of new articles to write for your blog.

Conduct A Blog Poll/Survey

Most time it is best to write articles which your blog readers actually want to read or contents which satisfy their needs.

How can you do this? Conducting a blog poll or survey is an absolute great way to get the job done. Doing this will help you to know what type of articles interests your blog readers and also help you to know what they are thinking.

Once you do this and you get the results of your poll or survey, then you need to act on it quickly. Start writing articles based on your results. Your blog readers will love yo for doing this and will definitely read your article when you publish it.

Don’t Write It… Vlog It

Instead of writing your blog post, why not vlog it.

Vlog is the term used when people do blogging but in the format of a video. This is a great way to capture your audience and deliver your message across to them.

Not all the time people like to read, they like to watch and listen as well. Doing videos for your blog post, whether it is doing your blog post in a video format or doing a tutorial, once you deliver it in a great way then your audience will love it.

If you haven’t tried video blogging as yet then you should get on board. You can even make money doing it by uploading your videos to YouTube and monetize your videos with the YouTube partnership program.

No matter how old an article is once you haven’t read it as yet then its new to you. If you have been blogging for quite some time now then I am sure that you would say that you have some old blog posts on your blog.

But have you ever considered on getting new blog readers for your old blog posts?

As stated once they haven’t read it as yet it can be new to them. One thing for sure that has helped me to learn how blogging has changed over the years is by reading older blog posts from bloggers who have been in the game for over 10 years. So when I read articles from them it gives me more background knowledge on blogging and useful tips which I can apply to make my blog successful.

I am pretty sure that lots of people also love reading older blog posts as well. So in this post I will be giving you some tips on how to get some new blog readers for your old blog posts.

Share Posts On Social Sites

A great way to get more readers for your older blog posts is by sharing them on social media or social networking sites.

We all know that social sites can be a great place to find readers for our blog, this is because tons of people are always online.

Lets say that you have built a fanpage on Facebook or have lots of followers on Twitter, you can easily share your older blog post there and get traffic to it.

Use CommentLuv When Commenting

When making blog comments you can promote your older blog posts by using the Comment Luv section of the blog that you are commenting on.

How do you do this?

Well if you have the Comment Luv Premium installed on your blog, what you can do is go to the settings of that plugin and select the older posts on your blog which you want to promote.

When you get to the Comment Luv settings, scroll down to the section marked “Favorite posts” and in this section of the plugin you are able to add up to 5 post or pages. So when commenting you will see the 5 post or pages that you have added to your favorite posts.

So you can search for the post that you would like to promote and add them there. Look at the image below so that you can understand it more.

So when using the Comment Luv section of a blog while commenting then you can choose from the list of favorite posts and promote that older blog posts so that you can get more readers for your post.

Interlink To Your Older Posts

Interlinking to other posts that you have written is vital in link building. Interlinking helps to boost your rank in search engines and also to lower the bounce rate of your blog.

Lots if bloggers interlink their blog posts because this is a great way to optimize their blog for search engines.

Not only does it helps the SEO of our blog, but it also helps to get readers for our older blog posts. When writing, try your best as possible to think about blog posts that you have written in the past and link back to them.

Find the right keywords or phrases to create a link back to an older blog post. Not everyone has read all your blog posts, so creating a link to an older post can help to bring vital information and more knowledge to your blog readers.

Make Them Sticky On Your Blog

WordPress is an awesome blogging platform and it has a great feature which allows you to feature any blog post that you want on the homepage of your blog.

The homepage of your blog gets the more traffic. It is the busiest part of your blog, so sticking a blog post on the front page is a great way to get more readers for that blog post.

Lets say that you want to feature a particular blog post on the front page of your blog, all you have to do is go to the admin section of your WordPress blog, click on posts. Search for the post which you want to feature on the homepage of your blog, hover the mouse and select “quick edit.”

After doing that you will notice some options for the post which you have selected to “quick edit.” Look for the “make this post sticky” and click the check box and then update the post. If you visit the homepage of your blog you will notice the post being shown on the front page above all other posts.

As mentioned the homepage gets the most views on your blog so making an older blog post sticky can help you to get more readers for it.

Edit OR Update Then Republish

There is no harm done in repolishing your older blog post to make them new again.

As time goes by sometimes the information in your older blog post gets out dated and needs some updating. So if this is the case then you can easily edit your older blog posts and update then information that you have written in it. Republish it for your readers and get more traffic to it.

Once you do this you can even make a note on that article that you have updated it. This will even invite those who have already read it to come back and check out the updates that you have made to the post.

Feature Them On Your Sidebar

The sidebar of every blog plays an important role. If your sidebar is optimized well then it can convert really great for you.

If you feature links to your sidebar then you can get traffic to those links if you optimize your blog well.

Placing links in your sidebar to your older blog posts can help to get new readers for those posts. All you have to do is use a plugin or manually place them there.

Write Guests Posts And Link To Them

Guest posts is popular in getting traffic to a blog. Lots of bloggers do guest posting so that they can boost the traffic of their blog.

If you want guest posting to work well for you then you have to follow these tips mentioned below:

  • Guest post on blogs in your niche
  • Write the highest quality post ever
  • Leave links to back to your blog
  • Participate in guest posts on a regular
  • Reply to comments left on your posts

Once you apply those 5 tips mentioned above then you will benefit greatly from guest posting.

Leaving links back to your articles through guest blogging can help you to gain lots of new readers. Remember if you are new to guest posting on a blog then chances are that these  readers on the blog that you are posting for hasn’t visited your blog as yet.

So if you link back to an older blog post then this would be a new article to them and they would enjoy reading it if they enjoyed reading your older blog post.

Many companies make the mistake of assuming that b2b marketing products are bolt-on items that anybody on their team can deploy on demand. Eventually, they come to the realization that a good CRM effort is not as easy as it looks from the outside, and they start casting around for a way out of the morass they blundered into with their assumption.

While many understand the general operational principles of b2b marketing products, this is a far cry from being able to utilize them in a way that ends up paying for the investment. Like many other growing Internet business trends, Customer Relations Management is one of those things that sounds suspiciously like a buzzword phrase designed to extract money out of the pockets of the credulous. When done properly, however, CRM brings home the bacon and, more importantly, it gets extra helpings of bacon for everyone it connects with.

b2b marketing

It is, however, somewhat similar to a high performance automobile. In the hands of an average driver, you get average results. When a real expert gets behind the wheel, the tires smoke, and everyone had better have his or her seatbelts buckled. The same dynamic applies to a person deploying b2b marketing products. They may be the most qualified person in the company to handle the job, but that is a relative comparison, not an absolute one. Most of the real tire-burners in the business are outside consultants and vendors who have exposure to multiple platforms and are aware of how other companies are approaching the task.

Bringing in a b2b marketing products professional offers a number of advantages to most companies. The first one is that they can have an unbiased opinion about where to begin and how to proceed. Since the heart of a good CRM effort lies in a unified database, the decision has to be made as to where this database is to be housed and which department or employee is going to be responsible for it. This rapidly turns into a turf war when done in-house.

Once a database has been established, an expert can show how to maximize the available information for the benefit of both buyers and sellers. That is a key factor that many amateur providers of b2b marketing products fail to take into account. The whole idea is not to extract every penny from whoever stumbles onto an e-mail list but to provide value and opportunity to them.

This is done through anticipatory offerings based on what they have already purchased, pages they have already browsed, or through access to a large, comparative database beyond what the company’s internal information holds. Large online entities such as eBay and Amazon have pioneered this technique of harnessing a customer’s own actions towards making an educated guess as to where they might like to go next.

The same techniques are available to companies of every size but, as mentioned before, there is a very fine line between not enough CRM and too much of it. All b2b marketing products are merely tools that need to be entrusted to a skilled operator who knows how the right amount of anticipation leads to greater sales while an oversupply of such advice becomes a major turn-off that literally drives customers over to some other purveyor who has a better grasp of the concept.

Are you looking for a way to expand your blog’s audience and reach out to new readers?

You’re probably familiar with the usual marketing possibilities, such as beefing up your social media presence or commenting on other bloggers’ websites. It can be hard to walk the fine line between helpful marketing and spamming, however, because let’s face it: no one likes to feel as if they’re being marketed to. One way to bridge the gap and suit the interests of both you and your future readers is to draw them in with humour.

Everyone likes to laugh, and comedy is used in advertising all the time to positive effect. You can apply this same principle to marketing your blog, by keeping the following tips in mind.

Strike a Balance

Whether or not humour can be injected into your daily blog material depends greatly on the content and purpose of it. Yet even the most serious blogs can often get away with a touch of humour or a few throwaway jokes, poking fun at your industry. Even if you’re not a natural comedian, you can link to other industry-related videos or websites that you find funny. Striking the balance between serious and humorous content can be difficult to master at first, but it’s a proven combination if you want to attract attention.

Use Pop Culture References

Stay clued into pop culture if you want to market your blog to a young and savvy audience. Comment on current events, television shows, and trends using your social media accounts, or reference pop culture in your posts. If you relate Miley Cyrus’s latest bizarre performance to one of your products or post a funny GIF, you might attract the attention of potential readers searching for her name.

Keep your Tweets Light-hearted

Twitter’s one of the best marketing tools for blogs. As you build up your followers, you can easily post links to your latest blog posts and interact with the community at large. This is also one of the easiest arenas in which to flex your funny muscles. Post daily observations, pop culture references, or re-tweets that you found amusing. You’ll gain more followers on Twitter that way; and more corresponding readers for your blog.

Use Multimedia

Videos, cartoons, and animated sequences are all ways to use humour in marketing without relying solely on the written word. Sometimes, a visual gag can speak a thousand words. One example of a video with very few words used to promote a website to comedic effect is this advert for Quicksales, starring Pat Cash. You can also see just how effective animation can be as a marketing tool by checking out the video for GoAnimate’s app, promoting its own animation services.

Outsource Your Humour

If you’re having trouble getting started and implementing these ideas on your own, leave it in the hands of a professional. Hiring an outsider allows you to bring in an outside perspective, which may be much-needed. It’s hard to poke fun at something that’s as close to your heart as your blog or small business. You don’t need to spend a fortune; try hiring an actor, writer, or student involved in an improvisational comedy troupe, for instance. Another option is to ask your regular readership for promotional ideas.

Humour is one of the most effective marketing tools because it helps humanize your brand, providing something of value to readers beyond your usual content. It makes your blog stand out in a crowded playing field, and can be low in cost to implement. So go ahead, take a risk, and have fun with it!

Matt Cutts wants to kill guest blogging.

I have seen tons of articles and buzz on social media sites when Matt Cutts posted on his blog that guest blogging will be decaying.

WOW!!! What? Guest blogging died?

What does this mean for us as bloggers? Should we stop writing guest posts? Should we stop accepting guest posts on our blogs? This caused many to wonder just like me and you.

Well for one thing I know tons of bloggers will still break the rule that Matt is trying to lay down for us to follow. But the thing is, how will this affect our blogs?

The Decay & Fall Of Guest Blogging

guest blogging dead

We have to try and understand what Matt Cutts is trying to do pertaining to guest blogging. From what I understand is that he saying that guest posts have become too spammy which are causing these type of people to gain more advantage with SEO.

We all know how writing guest posts and leaving links in that article back to our blog can be great for building backlinks, and building backlinks is a great SEO technique which can help us to rank higher in search engine results.

Lots of bloggers like receiving guest posts on their blog. Normally authors would contact them via email asking to publish on their blog.

Matt Cutts got an email like that and this is where things went haywire.

Here is the email that was sent to Matt according to his blog post:

My name is XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX and I work as a content marketer for a high end digital marketing agency in [a city halfway around the world]. I have been promoting high quality content in select niches for our clients.

We are always on the lookout for professional, high class sites to further promote our clients and when I came across your blog I was very impressed with the fan following that you have established.I would love to speak to you regarding the possibility of posting some guest articles on your blog. Should you be open to the idea, we can consider making suitable contribution, befitting to high standard of services that your blog offers to larger audience.

On my part, I assure you a high quality article that is-
- 100% original
- Well written
- Relevant to your audience and
- Exclusive to you

We can also explore including internal links to related articles across your site to help keep your readers engaged with other content on your blog.
All I ask in return is a dofollow link or two in the article body that will be relevant to your audience and the article. We understand that you will want to approve the article, and I can assure you that we work with a team of highly talented writers, so we can guarantee that the article would be insightful and professionally written. We aim to write content that will benefit your loyal readers. We are also happy to write on any topic, you suggest for us.

I too get emails like that from spammers wanting to spam my blog with crappy articles embedded with links on my blog, just so that backlinks can be built for their SEO purposes.

I have even gotten offers to post content for money which have nothing to do with my blog.

I love making money from my blog but I am not stupid and desperate to do something like that.

What Does ‘Death To Guest Blogging’ Mean?

This doesn’t mean that bloggers will stop guest blogging or stop publishing guest posts on their blog.

I have seen this coming but didn’t know it would be in this form. I knew that one day guest blogging would change because too much spamming of links was taking place in articles. Not only that but some of these articles wasn’t even worth reading because of the quality in which it was written.

This means that guest blogging for SEO won’t be as effective as it used to be.

Matt Cutts continues to by saying this in his article:

So stick a fork in it: guest blogging is done; it’s just gotten too spammy. In general I wouldn’t recommend accepting a guest blog post unless you are willing to vouch for someone personally or know them well. Likewise, I wouldn’t recommend relying on guest posting, guest blogging sites, or guest blogging SEO as a link building strategy.

So people who used to rely on guest posting for SEO is now going to have to find another means of ranking for search engine results.

Guest Blogging Still Exists

Guest blogging will continue no matter what changes may take place with SEO.

Submitting guest posts to a blog and getting it published is a great way for you to gain new readers for your blog, also a great way to get some exposure and build up your reputation as a blogger.

Most of the time bloggers are tired because blogging can be quite challenging, so publishing guest posts from other bloggers is a great way to keep going as a blogger. On top of that, people like to read stuff from others so having guest posts on our blog is a great way to do so.

Will Guest Blogging Harm Your Blog?

Well according to Matt Cutts, he “wouldn’t recommend accepting guest posts unless you are willing to vouch for someone personally or know them well” and “wouldn’t recommend relying on guest posting, guest blogging sites, or guest blogging SEO as a link building strategy.”

For once thing that I know and I think lots of other bloggers know that crappy guest posts can kill your blog.

Guest blogging won’t harm your blog, in fact once a guest post is of high quality then it can help your blog to get tons of social shares creating a buzz around your blog.

But as for SEO we are yet to see what will take place.

Over To You

  • Do you think that guest posting is dead?
  • Will you continue to publish guest posts on your blog?
  • Are you thinking about giving up on writing guest posts and focus on other methods of link building?

Let me know what you think about the death of guest blogging.

Lets say that you have been blogging for quite some time now.

You haven’t been successful in driving traffic to your blog and all the efforts that you put into making money fails.

Whenever you write blog posts they seem to go unseen and unread because no comment was left to show that at least one person came to look at your article.

What do you do? Do you pack up your things and walk through the door? Or do you try to save your blog by breathing life back into your blog?

I think it’s time for you to perform a blog CPR and make your blog come alive.

In this article I will be giving you 5 tips on how you can breathe life back into your blog.

blogging on laptop

Install A New Theme

Most of the times why your blog seem to be some sort of ghost town is because the design is like a dead end street or a lonely road.

Most times if your blog’s design is dull and boring then people won’t be easily attracted to it.

Take a look at some of the most successful blogs inside your niche, or even outside your niche as well. Don’t their blog design look amazing and unique?

Yes they do.

Get what I am trying to say now?

Once your blog design looks welcoming and vibrant then people will be more inclined to check out your blog posts. If you have been using the same theme for years, like me, then its time for a change.

I have planned to change my blog design when the time is right and that is the reason why I bought the Genesis Framework.

Also make your blog clutter free, clean layout and a neat navigation. This will help to do the trick.

Write Blog Posts Regularly

Another reason why your blog seems dead is because you don’t blog on a regular.

You can breathe back life into your blog if you start blogging on a regular basis. I have heard of bloggers who even publish more than once per day and they have been reaping benefits from doing this.

This won’t work for all blogs though.

But what we need to remember is that in order to keep your blog alive then publishing on a regular basis would be recommended.

Most blogs end up dead or unknown is because the blog owners don’t publish articles on a regular basis. If you stop posting articles on your blog like you normally do then you will notice that your traffic will die. Think Outside Of The Box

Don’t follow, become a leader, be different.

One of the best ways to breathe life back into your blog is to think outside of the box and see what new ideas that you can come up with. Once you start coming up with some new ideas then you can jot them down and see what will work well for your blog.

Don’t be one of those newbie bloggers who think that following the pro bloggers will make their blog successful. You have to come up with your own style so that your blog can be unique.

When your blog is different from others then it will help to make your blog unique. This will also cause your blog to come alive.

Change Your Focus

Sometimes when we focus on one thing for too long it can cause us to ignore the true reason why we started blogging in the first place.

Think back to when you first discovered blogging. Remember the reason why you created a blog and try to stir up your passion for the topic which you started your blog.

Most times we tend to focus on the money making part of blogging instead of being a blogger. A blogger should be a person who loves to write articles for people to read or for an audience.

If your main aim in creating a blog was to make money then chances are your focus needs to be adjusted or you will end up failing as a blogger. Yes we all want to make money through blogging, but the truth is blogging isn’t about making money.

Yes you can blog for money, but what I think is best is to blog because you love it and the money will come as a benefit or a reward.

Change your focus a bit and focus more on blogging, I guarantee that when you aim to build up your blog you will start making money.

Start Accepting Guest Posts

Most times when we write blog posts our writing pattern tend to be the same. You can breathe life back into your blog if you start accepting guest bloggers.

How can publishing guest posts help to make your blog come alive?

Well for one thing more bloggers means more new topics on your blog. Different bloggers means different writing style. If you publish articles from different authors then your blog will come alive. Your blog visitors won’t be bored with the same writing pattern, well of course if you are an excellent writer then this doesn’t apply to you.

But people love to read and learn new things from others as well. So try publishing guest posts on your blog and see how well it works for you.

How well or often do you interact with your blog readers?

If you take interest in your blog readers then they will take an interest in your blog as well. I and many other bloggers have proven this to be a fact.

Truth is, once you you have a good interaction with your blog readers and they take lots of interest in your blog then your blog will become successful.

In this blog post I will give you 5 tips on how you can get your blog readers to be interested in your blog.

Keeping Blog Readers Interested

Write The Highest Quality Blog Posts

When it comes to blogging, only the strong survives. This is the truth.

A blog that has been built up with high quality blog posts will be the talk of the town, or should I say the talk of the blogosphere.

As bloggers we need to realize that in order to keep our blog readers interested in our blog then we have to make it our aim to write the highest quality blog posts ever.

In today’s world people are so hard to please and they get bored easily. If your blog post is dull and boring then your blog readers will simply hit the back button on their browser, go to another blog or search through Google for something else.

Would you want that to be the case with your blog?

No I don’t think so.

You want a buzz to be created around your blog, so therefore writing high quality blog posts is a must.

How Do You Write High Quality Blog Posts?

First of all, lets get the understanding of what a high quality blog post is.

A high quality blog post is an article which is written with valuable information on a particular subject or matter. This article was well researched, put together and delivered in a way which will benefit those who read it. A high quality blog post is also written in paragraphs so that it makes reading easy.

That basically sums up what a high quality blog post is.

One perfect example is from Lisa Irby of  2CreateaWebsite.com

One thing that I notice with her is that she makes money online… Sorry I mean she knows how to write high quality blog posts. :D

Lisa wrote this article a few weeks ago: Why Your Blog is Getting Ignored And What To Do About It!

This article is amazing. In it she mentioned some valuable points on which you can use when writing blog posts if you want to generate a buzz around your blog.

After reading that post I came up with tons of great new ideas for writing blog posts, and this happens to be one of them. Big thanks goes out to Lisa Irby.

Her blog and entire website is awesome. You need to check her out!

Inspire And Motivate Your Blog Readers

Don’t just write blog posts to update your blog so that it doesn’t seem inactive.

What about your blog readers? Do you write articles with your blog readers in mind or do you write articles for SEO?

Well whatever the case may be when it comes to writing articles you should always keep your blog readers in mind. If you want your blog readers to keep a high interest in mind then be sure to inspire them.

You can inspire your blog readers by showing some of your monthly reports. I know many bloggers who does this and it helps to build inspiration inside of their blog readers.

Show your blog readers how well your blog is performing or (if you want) show how much your blog is earning. This will help to boost their inspiration level.

But don’t just stop there. Next you need to motivate them.

People perform well or much better when they are motivated. If you inspire them then motivating them should be an easy step.

Lets say you inspire your blog readers by the way you drive traffic to your blog, you can easily motivate them to take the same steps that you take in getting blog traffic.

If you inspire and motivate your blog readers to take action then they will keep a high interest in your blog and love the effort that you take into doing it.

Show Them The Person Behind The Blog

Most blog readers show interest in a blog when they get to interact with the blog owner. We are all humans and good communication is needed in order to have a good friendship.

If you have a blog, which I know you do because you have read the article come to this point, make sure that you have an about me page on your blog. Not only that but also have a photo of yourself on that page and a brief bio about you.

If you have a video camera then you can do videos as well so that your blog readers can see who you are.

Most people use social media and social networking sites. So what I do is have  a chat every now and then with my blog readers. Some of them ask questions pertaining to blogging. If I can’t answer them on the spot then I write a blog post and send the link to them.

This is a great way to also get traffic to your blog when you write an article with information that your blog readers need.

Don’t Force Away Your Blog Readers

One of the reasons why blogging is so popular is because bloggers make money blogging. This is quite natural in the blogging world.

New bloggers tend to make the mistake in monetizing their blog too quickly and often end up filling their blog with ads. If you really want to take keen interest in your blog readers then filling up your blog will just push them away.

We have to remember that our blog readers are here to read what we have written and if we scare them away then our chances of making money will disappear right in front our eyes.

Also we should not install too much unnecessary plugins our blogs as well because this will help our blog to move really slow. If your blog is hosted on free servers your blog will also load slow.

We all know how people are impatient now a days and if your blog is slow then it will get left behind.

What I have done in the past is use HostGator as my hosting. This helped to give my blog a better performance.

I also signed up for MaxCDN which allowed my blog to be super fast and also ease the stress off your hosting.

Have I Seen Improvements In My Blog?

Yes I have.

Since cutting back on the amount of ads on my blog and making my blog faster it helped me to interact more with my blog readers. Not only that but my earnings went up.

Make Your Readers Feel Special

Most blogger readers are also bloggers themselves. Do you know what makes you feel good as a blogger?

Why not apply some sort of good treatment to your blog readers?

As for me what I do for my blog readers is give them dofollow backlinks. If you are in the top 5 commentator list then your link, avatar and also latest post link will be featured in the sidebar, thanks to the CommentLuv plugin.

I also host cash giveaways on a regular basis. If my blog makes extra money what I do is use a portion of it to host my giveaway. I love to give back to my readers who helped to make my blog a success.

In Conclusion…

Once you build up a relationship with your blog readers and getting them to love your blog, don’t just leave it there. Continue the friendship and this can go a long way.

Marketing will be easier because a trust for you will be established and that’s what is needed to make your blog successful. So always be sure to show interest in your blog readers and they will do the same for you.

toddler-boy-on-laptopHave you ever wondered why so many blogs fail or why other blog’s tend to stand out from the others?

Why do you think it is that some blogs lose their blog readers or why some blogs make money and others don’t?

If you are thinking on the same line that I am thinking then you are right.

Some blog owners fail to accomplish what they want because of not sticking to their niche. Now do you see where I am going with this post?

I hope you do. This article is just a bit of an eye-opener for those blog owners who haven’t been making money or wondering why their blog readers aren’t sticking around on their blog. When it comes to blogging inside a niche there are certain rules which you have to follow if you want your blog to be successful.

In this article I will be giving you some reasons why you should stick to the niche that your blog caters to.

Helps To Preserve Your Blog Readership

Lets say that you started your blog centering about weight loss but at the same time you love cats.

In your mind you think that blogging about cats on your weight loss tips blog would be a good idea. You love cats so much that it makes you want to share your tips about caring for your can on that blog.

Now do you think this is a good idea?

No it’s not.

This will help to kill the readership of your blog.

Readers will leave your blog because this is not what they expected from you. If your blog is about weight loss tips, golf tips or skateboarding then its best for you to always stick to that topic.

Your readers will be much happier if you did.

Less Stress On You When It Comes To Writing

For one thing that I know with blogging is that is that it takes lots of time if you really want to be successful.

So when it comes to blogging on a lot of niche then this will take up more time.

If you blog on a topic that you are a lot familiar with then it will be much easier for you when it comes to writing contents. When you know or have knowledge on a niche that you have created your blog on, then this makes writing easy.

You will be able to write articles easy because you are writing from what you already know.

But if you blog out of your niche then chances are you won’t have accurate knowledge about that topic and your readers will know that you don’t know what you were blogging about.

So blogging inside your niche makes writing articles much easier.

Hard To Target Everyone At The Same Time

When your blog focuses on more that one blogging niche then targeting everyone is harder to do.

If you try to target everyone needs or wants at the same time then this can make you fail at blogging. This is because the wants and needs of everyone is so far reach that you wouldn’t even know where to start.

Setting your focus on one niche and targeting just the people in your niche will be much easier.

When you go on forum communities, social media or networking site, you can go into the category or section that matches the niche of your blog so that you can target those people who are interested in your niche.

Targeting is even easier when you find blog’s in your niche as well. This will make blog commenting easier and also guest posting.

Google creates updates because people are always looking for ways to manipulate the system for their own benefit. That is why so many people seem to lose their position on the search engine results pages when Google creates an update.

The people who are using these manipulative techniques (knowing or not) are often thrown down the search engine results quite quickly.

Here are five tips that may help you get through future updates.

google-update

1 – Write your page content for the user and not the search engine

This is one of their most commonly stated points. Google are always saying that the user should come first, and their updates always seem to work towards that end. In other words the things such as keyword stuffing and awkward keyword placement should be a thing of the past. If your keywords are not appearing naturally in your text then clearly they are not supposed to be in there in the first place.

The people who write content of any old nature and then put in keywords that are seemingly unrelated are always going to fall foul of the most recent Google updates. If you keep your user in mind at all times then you cannot go too far wrong. Do not forget that Google wants to create the most user friendly results possible so that people keep on using their search engine.

2 – Add backlinks to websites where you would get direct traffic

If you get direct traffic from the website then your traffic numbers will still be present even if you are kicked off of the Google search engine results. But, Google does have this thing about relevancy, and websites that have the same target audience as you are considered relevant. If you are getting direct traffic from your links placed on other websites then it is safe to say that they have the same target audience as you.

3 – Anchor text is supposed to tell the search engine about the linked web page

When you create anchor text for your websites internal links and for its backlinks it is supposed to have keywords in it. This is because it is search engine friendly, and because it gives Google a clue as to what your website is all about. This sort of web content clue is going to be a ranking factor for a long time and is unlikely to change, so you should stick with it.

When you create your anchor text atop your links you need to make sure it is descriptive without being too long. It should be convenient but also concise. This does not mean filling it full of keywords or just having keywords. It is all about striking a happy middle ground so that it is usable for the search engines and for the users.

4 – Usability for the reader is of paramount importance

Google is always going to want to have very useable Internet search engine results. The websites they present should be highly usable so that people keep coming back to their search engine.

This means that if you strive to make your website highly usable for the reader then you are going to avoid any nasty sides of Google updates. Usability should run from the navigation all the way to the website content and its actual use. If your website does not seem to have a use then ask yourself how you expect to rise up through the search engine results pages.

5 – Do not follow the latest search engine trends that you read about

This seems to be a common pattern that people fall foul of. Every now and then a certain search engine secret comes out in the online community. For example, when people went a bit nutty about guest posting it seemed that guest posts were more search engine friendly than adding articles to article websites.

All of a sudden there are thousands of people scrambling to get on the bandwagon and before you know it Google have released an update that makes the method no longer as effective. Even these days writing guest posts is now as effective as writing for article websites; this was not the case earlier in 2013 when article websites were not as effective (they are now as search engine friendly as guest posts).

All you have to do is not take current SEO trends too seriously because before you know it Google will create an update that will change the goalpost.
