Success is NOT the result of a one-time event.

With blogging, it’s possible to get the results you want using just a couple of the strategies that I will discuss in this guide.

However, it is most commonly the combined application of several effective strategies working together that create a foundation of unstoppable traffic, sales & profits for you.

But this can only be achieved by developing your business step-by-step on a consistent daily basis. You don’t have to move an entire mountain in a single day. But if you can move just a few rocks every day, eventually you will move the “proverbial” mountain and achieve your goal.

But not if you give up or take a “grass is greener on the other side” mindset… IT’S NOT GREENER OVER THERE!

Ross Perot said: “Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown.”

That’s not the type of person you are?

You must persist until you achieve your goals

.

With this said, my advice for you is to follow a simple weekly pattern of actions that will enable you to constantly improve your website marketing skills and increase your traffic and residual income.

Below I’ve posted a weekly format you could follow even if you only have 30 minutes to an hour per day that will steadily enable you to build a successful Internet business.

Of course, you’ll want to adapt this plan to your own marketing preferences (the things you enjoy doing).

For example, you might not like AdWords and prefer blogging instead. So devote one day each week to blogging instead of developing your AdWords campaigns. The point is to make a weekly plan of habits that YOU can commit to and then stick with them until you achieve your goals.

Here’s an example weekly schedule:

Day 1 – Continue growing your opt-in email list.

Day 2 – Send out more email promotions.

Day 3 – Get more backlinks to your website.

Day 4 – Write (or ghostwrite) and distribute more articles.

Every post you make to your blog adds a new page to your website. Each page of your website is like having a new hook with fresh bait on it the water ready to catch fish. In this case, fish are motivated people prospects that will find your website through the search engines.

Day 5 – Articles, articles articles… I can’t say it enough!

I encourage you to write and submit at least 1 new article of your own every week from now on. This will position you as an expert that people trust and it will help you get more new links pointing back to your website every week.

Once you’ve written your article, send it to your email list, add it to your blog (which builds a new page on your website), post it on IdeaMarketers.com and EzineArticles.com for free and use Submit Your Article to submit it to hundreds of article sites with a few clicks.

If you’ve gone through this step-by-step training guide, you know more about Internet and affiliate marketing than 99% of the population of the world will ever know! Now it’s time for you to share your knowledge with others, and doing this will allow you to grow your business a lot faster!

Day 6 – Spend the day interacting in forums. You’ll learn a lot and you’ll also be promoting your website naturally! πŸ™‚

Day 7 – Research and test new marketing methods. Infact the best method that i would suggest is to promote via press release, but before that you should learn how to write a press release that will attract the eyeballs of the media and journalist.

I’m always testing new things to promote my website, get more traffic and generate more subscribers. Online marketing is just a numbers game and I find the more that I do, the more money I make. I don’t always get everything right and I still make a lot of mistakes by trying things that don’t work or using a tool or service wrong…

However, I just keep “plugging away” and day by day I keep building momentum… Everything adds up and when you have 100 things that are working “just a little” you end up having something as a whole that is working very well.

Take one day of the week (or time each day) to test, experiment and try new thing to promote your site…

New services are constantly hitting the market and new ways to promote your website and build your list will keep coming out faster than you can.

So be relentless in your pursuit and become a constant “tester of new ideas” and approaches to promote your site, generate more traffic and attract more subscribers! πŸ™‚

Invest 1 day every week (or time every day) experimenting with new ideas and services to grow your business.

Day 7 – I know we just had a day 7, but I’m all about MASSIVE ACTION and if that’s what it takes to get you to turn this into your full-time livelihood, then so be it! πŸ™‚

Or you can take the day off, relax and enjoy yourself and squeeze in your Day 6 activities as an extra hour each day.

So take Day 7 off to rest and recharge. You’ll come back feeling stronger and with better ideas and more enthusiasm that you can use to grow your business faster.

If you love the 7-day plan above, put it to work immediately. If you need to adjust it somehow, do that but commit at least 1 hour every day fully engaged in an activity that will move your business forward. Do this and you’ll be doing what people who fail NEVER do.

You’ll be doing what takes to succeed.

Persistence and consistency are essential to your success. If you take small consistent actions toward your goal, you will eventually arrive. In fact, small actions taken regularly are much more powerful than big actions once.

Success is incremental. Consistency is the real key to Internet marketing success. Develop profitable habits starting NOW. Put one foot in front of the other and walk forward daily.

Do you have any profitable habits that can propel your blog business to the next level?

One article per week to any good article submission site is a good advice and in fact this is what I do. However, I don’t agree with submitting one article to hundreds of directories. There is a chance that it may hurt your ranking.

This techniques has been proven and tested. Another great tool to use is an autoresponder. It automates your site 24/7. To learn more, I have a review of it on my site.

Bill I like what you said about moving a few stones per day instead of trying to move the whole mountain.

Stopping at the one yard line is a great analogy. I also remember a story about a guy searching for diamonds.

Eventually he died and diamonds were discovered on the ground he had given up on.

Good motivation and a great 7 day plan. Article marketing is something I have not worked on in a long time, maybe I should rekindle my ezinearticles account.

I like what you said about taking one day off to test new methods and ideas.

It is so easy to get ‘into the grind’ and forget to look up all week!

So taking a day off to just think and test is a great idea. You never know when you will run into that one incredible idea that can pay off in a big way. But if you don’t give yourself a little time, you might not get to that next great idea.

For blogging consistency and frequency in long run is required. Patience is the main ingredient without which a blogger can’t enter on the road of success.

having a scheduled plan is like making your own path of success. The most important part of this point (and I like much) is make experiment. Don’t be afraid to make one.

    Thanks for the post Bill

This is the kind of post that actually helps people blog better, become experts in their fields, get more traffic, and more respect. But then, there’s the big “if”. You’ll see benefits only IF you actually follow a plan like this. Not only is the grass never greener on the other side, nothing’s gonna happen if you sit wishing something would happen. I’m talking to any procrastinators out there, not the get-up-and-go people. You guys are well on your way, I’m sure. For those thinking about starting to make some big gains in blogging, printing out Bill’s post is a great start. Hang it where you can see it. Read it as often as you can.

Hi, Zeeshan thanks for your real concern, the best email plugin for sending emails is Aweber.

It has the capability of sending emails to your subscriber as well as making follow-ups.

Try it and see how it works, infact they have an introductory fee of 1$ for a complete 30 days. I hope that helps!
